Celebrating the highest point is a tradition during construction, and is especially for a building the size of De Zalmhaven a special occasion. However, organizing an event at a construction site brings along a specific set of regulations and legislation, in addition to the COVID-19 measures still being active at the time. This meant the celebration had to be organized without the presence of a live audience while reaching as many people as possible. Therefore, we came up with the idea to create an epic live light show to mark the highest point – a guaranteed attention grabber to be seen from miles away – combined with an international music performance, live from the rooftop, a unique location with a spectacular backdrop. A show that could be enjoyed walking around in Rotterdam (light show), and also via a Livestream online (light show + music performance).
