Chi-Chi Ude and Honorata Karapuda original project. The artists invited for the cooperation Max Kobiela and Piotr Sekunda (two masters in their fields). Together, they prepared a project presenting the heroines of the opera. The artists wanted to show what the heroines are telling us today, what we can learn about them through us. Galatea is a combination of colors, forms, fabrics, plants, smells and music that leads us to the directions we did not expect.
We consciously did not use advanced technological solutions. This time we used simple spotlights and video projection on real people, without video mapping. Our goal was to use soft light to strengthen the feelings of the guests and highlight the nature of the event. We got fantastic play of lights, hand-painted fabrics, specially designed and hand-made stand for the theme heroine’s costume by Max Kobiela and intriguing music by Damian Pielka.
