ITS World Congress 2024 in Dubai gathered global leaders to explore smart mobility, with 200+ sessions, exhibitions, and demos hosted by RTA, designed and executed by Kraftwerk.
The objective of the ITS World Congress 2024 in Dubai was to position the city as a global hub for smart mobility while advancing RTA’s mission to shape a sustainable, connected transport future. The Congress aimed to raise awareness of intelligent transportation solutions among policymakers, industry leaders, experts, and the wider public, inspiring action toward more efficient, safe, and sustainable mobility systems. By offering over 200 sessions, exhibitions, and live demonstrations, the event provided opportunities for participants to learn about the latest technologies, explore innovative case studies, and understand the role of smart mobility in shaping future cities. The Congress also encouraged networking and partnerships between governments, businesses, and academia to accelerate adoption of intelligent systems. Participants were expected to leave with new knowledge, valuable connections, and a stronger commitment to advancing smart transportation solutions globally.
The creative concept emphasized that this was not an ordinary conference but a flagship global platform. We introduced bold architectural features and materials rarely seen in such settings, elevating the space into an experience rather than a venue. The main stage was designed with dynamic structures arching over the audience, creating a sense of immersion and drawing participants into the content. This approach transformed passive viewing into active engagement, making delegates feel part of the unfolding dialogue. Complemented by fluid layouts, vibrant scenography, and innovative use of light and texture, the design conveyed Dubai’s ambition to lead in smart mobility.
