Conference uniting industry and academia to address sustainability in chemicals. Hosted by CRIS, sponsored by Aramco, targeting professionals, researchers, and over 1500 students.
ChemIndix 2024 aimed to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry in the chemical sector, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s sustainability and innovation goals. The key objectives were to drive academic engagement through abstract submissions, attract international attendance, promote industry sponsorship, and position Saudi Arabia as a regional leader in chemical innovation. Attendees were expected to share knowledge, form partnerships, and explore new technologies that support sustainable solutions. Students engaged in mentorship and innovation programs to deepen learning and spark interest in future careers. Participants left with a greater understanding of Aramco’s role in shaping global chemical trends and a renewed commitment to industry-academic synergy under Vision 2030.
The creative concept centered around uniting scientific rigor with industrial innovation, brought to life through a futuristic design language. We developed a fully integrated digital backend to streamline abstract submissions and speaker communications. The exhibition space featured modular, industrial-style structures that visually echoed the event’s technical theme. ChemLLMathon and InnoChem — two pre-conference programs — added a unique edge, offering student competitions and innovation showcases that are rare in conferences of this scale. A last-minute venue change pushed innovation further: we rapidly built outdoor pavilions that maintained brand consistency, comfort, and utility, showcasing flexibility and creative resilience under pressure.
