An Ecoembes conference-style event about the circular economy designed as an immersive experience featuring expert presentations, in-person & global online audiences, & a 100% sustainable approach.
Ecoembes, a prominent national non-profit organization that has been promoting & championing recycling in Spain for 25 years, held the second edition of Circularity Day following the success of its first edition in 2024, with the aim of consolidating it as a benchmark event in sustainability and circular economy.
The main goal was to raise awareness of the opportunities offered by a sustainable & circular economy from different perspectives, showcasing inspiring projects led by top-level experts.
The event itself had to embody its purpose, adhering to a “zero waste” principle: a 100% natural scenography with a second life, reused materials, and elements that highlighted circularity and reuse.
The ambition was to provoke thought, inspire reflection, shift perceptions, and foster collective action towards a more sustainable future.
Beyond the live audience the objective was to reach a much wider audience online through streaming and powerful content from the experience post-event.
We designed the event as a fully immersive, sensorial and accessible experience, using the organization’s campaign motto “Sometimes going full circle is the best wat forward.” as its guiding thread throughout.
Keynote talks on reducing environmental impact were transformed into an immersive journey inside an autumn forest, turning reflection and contemplation into a multi-sensory experience.
The scenography, built with natural elements such as collected fallen leaves and repurposed pine trees, transported attendees into a realistic, sensorial and circular environment. Authentic nature soundscapes and 3D visual effects simulating the different moments of the day enhanced the feeling of being outdoors.
An innovative proposal where the medium was message: discussing circularity through a truly 100% circular experience, with every detail being sustainable in some shape or form.
