A medicinal plant festival held at the Araiši Lake Fortress, the only authentic reconstruction of a 9th-10th century dwelling site in Northern Europe, as well as one of the stages of Latvian Lap of Honor, dedicated to the country’s centenary. All throughout the day, visitors were able to view and participate in various medicinal and culinary plant performances, like, for example, preparing bracket-fungus, cocktails from mother earth, and learn ancient skills, like painting yarn from plants etc.
Various new ideas are introduced at the festival.
