Director of Special Events & Entertainment, Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA)

Frank de Redelijkheid has more than twenty-five years of international leadership experience in sports, sponsorship, marketing, live entertainment, and major event management. During his nineteen-year career at FIFA, he has held multiple leadership roles across both the Marketing and Event Operations divisions, contributing to the successful delivery of some of the world's largest and most complex sporting events. To date, he has been part of the organisation and delivery of five FIFA Men's World Cups and four FIFA Women's World Cups, alongside numerous other FIFA tournaments and global events.

As Director of Special Events & Entertainment at the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) in Zurich, Frank leads FIFA's global portfolio of special events and entertainment. His responsibilities include the strategic development, planning, and execution of corporate events, tournament draws, stadium entertainment, opening and closing ceremonies, trophy tours, and FIFA Fan Festivals for the FIFA World Cup, FIFA Women's World Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and all other FIFA competitions. He leads multidisciplinary international teams, manages significant budgets, and works closely with senior FIFA leadership, host countries, commercial partners, and suppliers to deliver world-class experiences.

Before assuming his current position, Frank served in FIFA's Marketing Division as Alliances Manager, where he managed relationships with global commercial partners and led sponsorship activations across FIFA competitions, helping maximise the value of FIFA's worldwide commercial programme.

Prior to joining FIFA, Frank held senior event and marketing positions at Credit Suisse in Zurich, where he was responsible for European sponsorship programmes, premium client hospitality, and large-scale corporate events. He began his professional career with Spectrum Events AG, delivering corporate, incentive, and international events throughout Switzerland and Europe.

Across his career, Frank has developed extensive expertise in strategic event leadership, sponsorship activation, live entertainment, governance events, fan engagement, and international event operations. He is recognised for combining strategic thinking with operational excellence, delivering innovative, large-scale experiences through strong leadership, meticulous planning, and effective collaboration across cultures, organisations, and global stakeholder groups.
