The main objective of the event was to create an unforgettable and inspiring moving experience and bring IBM employees together as one team, one IBM.
Inspired by the name of the new office building, Apollo, and IBM’s technological involvement in the historic Apollo mission, during which IBM provided computers and complex software programs, we came up with the idea – Destination Apollo. This was an important mission for IBM: to bring their employees together from various offices and start a new chapter as one IBM. The concept represented the same adventurous journey toward the new location as our source of inspiration, the real Apollo mission.
This included aspects such as long-distance communication, exploration of new territories, technological innovations such as telebridge technology and more. We selected an astronaut as the representative character and key visual for the teaser campaign for the relocation, which accompanied the participants throughout the entire pre-event campaign and the main event.
