A 31-day festival dedicated to sport and entertainment in the heart of Rome for UEFA EURO 2020. Tournaments, concerts, and activations for the first big event open to the public after the pandemic.
Three were the pillars of FME’s creative concept of the UEFA Festival: Sport, Live Shows and Food, with a programme of 400 hours over 31 days.
For sportspeople and football fans, the Football Village in Piazza del Popolo broadcasted 51 live matches on the two giant screens, in addition to the public viewing at the Fori Imperiali, two 3-vs-3 soccer fields, a Playground Area to try Teqball and Foot Billiard, sponsored tournaments and dozens of foosball tables. The Live Shows on the main stage, hosted Italian music stars, including Annalisa, Irene Grandi, The Kolors, the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, the Orchestra Roma Sinfonietta and the Teatro dell’Opera. The video mapping at Campidoglio and the Opening Ceremony in Piazza del Popolo kick-started the official Fan Zone programme. A food area with typical products were available to the public at the Pincio Terrace. An installation in one of the 4 Hot Spots along Via del Corso celebrated the 60-year history of Europe and football.
