On 10th June 2023 Istanbul has been the capital of the footballing world. The 2023 UEFA Champions League Final Kick Off Show presented by Pepsi®, took place at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium.
Now in its seventh year, the Kick-Off Show opened with Nigeria’s finest Burna Boy, together with his 9-piece band performing “Last Last” and “It’s Plenty”, before Anita and her dancers wow the crowd with her hit “Envolver” and new release “Boss”. The Kick Off Show concluded with Swedens finest Alesso performing “Heroes” to a sold-out stadium. Another “first” for the 2023 final is that the Kick Off Show of one of the world’s biggest sporting events took place for the very first time in darkness, allowing the show to add extra buzz and excitement with world-class lighting designed by Al Gurdon. TV Director Tim van Someren is once again capturing this unique opening for the millions of viewers who are watching worldwide on TV, bringing them together with the fans in the stadium to enjoy this truly amazing event, full of energy and atmosphere, which is the UEFA Champions League final.
