A global event on human Fraternity, 12–13 September, Rome–Vatican. International speakers and artists, fifteen working groups and a plenary session, final worldwide show live from St. Peter’s Square
“What does it mean to be human today?” Inspired by Pope Francis’ Encyclical Fratelli tutti, the World Meeting on Human Fraternity opened with this question. In a world marked by crises and new forms of loneliness, the goal of the event was to promote universal fraternity. Institutions, international leaders, scientific, artistic, and global communities took part in thematic working groups highlighting peace, social cohesion, sustainable development, and human rights—sharing ideas and perspectives. The aim was to give fraternity a face, to find ways to measure it, and to translate it into concrete actions. The gathering created a moment of global unity, where diversity became a resource, and collaboration and dialogue generated new horizons. The event culminated in a concert broadcasted live worldwide, celebrating our shared humanity and turning fraternity into a tangible and participatory experience
We created an event that brought together international speakers and artists designed to give human fraternity a truly global resonance. Rome’s iconic landmarks were transformed into a crossroads of cultures and religions by hosting fifteen thematic roundtables that sparked dialogue, reflection, and collaboration. These discussions culminated in a “Human Assembly,” where participants shaped a shared language of fraternity and collective purpose. Diverse perspectives converged in a historic final concert aimed at inspiring younger generations and expanding the conversation worldwide. Directed by Pharrell Williams and Andrea Bocelli, the performance fused music and technology to transform the message of fraternity into a living and contemporary experience, uniting people across the globe
