For years, Deloitte has been advising top leaders on how to make responsible decisions for their companies. Our challenge? To host their annual Business Summit and create a shift in the conversation.
The Responsible Business Summit embraced creativity and innovation at its core. To achieve all objectives, we had to challenge our client – and think outside the box. All 55 senior business leaders of the largest companies in the Netherlands we’d invited, were present at the Summit. A fragmented stage design symbolized uncertain times, while a metaphorical compass in the center ‘guided’ attendees through uncharted territory in responsible business. The opening had to be really special to set the tone for the event. So we did, through the magic of music. A grand opening featuring an orchestra, captivating our audience from the first second. As for the rest of the event, we didn’t go with the traditional keynote speakers. Instead, we chose to share personal stories in a safe space we had created, to get the conversation flowing. This way, we could really engage our business leaders into the discussion by not only listening, but by sharing their own stories, making them feel heard.
