For Expo 2025 Osaka, from April 13 to October 13, Simmetrico shaped the Monaco Pavilion’s scenography as a sensory voyage revealing the Principality’s essence, its values, and harmony with nature.
With the “Take Care of Wonder” concept for the Monaco Pavilion, Simmetrico invites the world to pause, marvel, and take action. The event aims to awaken a profound awareness that humanity’s survival depends on respecting the delicate balance of life on Earth. Monaco becomes a living example a Green Lab where sustainable planning, environmental stewardship, and civic responsibility converge. By immersing visitors in the “Take Care of Wonder” manifesto, the experience fosters a personal connection with nature, encouraging reflection, responsibility, and concrete actions to protect our planet’s most fragile and precious ecosystems, including the oceans a realm to which the Principality of Monaco has a direct and profound connection, brought to life in an immersive room.
“Inspired by G.K. Chesterton “The world will never starve for want of wonders; but only for want of wonder” the event transforms Monaco into a stage of discovery and awe. Visitors embark on a multisensory journey, exploring the “Take Care of Wonder” manifesto and experiencing Monaco as a pioneering Green Lab. Cutting-edge immersive technology, storytelling, and interactive elements reveal the country’s commitment to protecting land, sea, and biodiversity under the guidance of H.S.H. Prince Albert II.
Seven interactive stations, activated by a caress, two VR binoculars, four animated books, three sustainable mobility hubs, a site-specific anamorphic artwork, two gamified garden hotspots, and a nine-meter magic lantern casting coral-shaped shadows immerse visitors in touch, sound, and light. Curiosity and wonder become responsibility, inspiring all to cherish and protect the world’s wonders.
