“Marco negli stadi 2025” is a broad project born from the bold ambition to immerse pop music in the grand tradition of theater. Here the audience itself becomes the protagonist, as what happens on stage reflects their own story, that of their peers, and of the world at large. All of this is conveyed not only through music, but also through a 360-degree production that leaves no detail overlooked.
The main goal was to present a show that entertained and moved the audience in order to strengthen the bond between the artist and his fan-base. This show encourages the fans to keep buying tickets for the upcoming concerts and it intrigues potential new spectators.
In ancient Greece, the study of human nature and the events of the world in which we are immersed was entrusted to the theater. At that time the stories explored the great themes of existence through reflections on pain and the fragility of human life, on good and evil, all leading to a final catharsis. From this tradition originates Marco Mengoni’s idea to bring to the stage a visual and emotional narrative that mirrors the cycles of collapse and rebirth experienced in both individual and collective life. After each fall, we walk among the ruins, dig to remove what is superfluous, recover what is essential, and begin to rebuild.
The show is structured around the different chapters of Greek Tragedy, narrated by a guiding voice: prologue, parodos, episodes, stasima, exodus, and catharsis.
