20 official country projects at Expo 2025 Osaka (Apr–Oct 2025) | Org.: Japan Association for the 2025 World Expo | Target: 28M visitors | Obj.: enhance countries as brands through pavilions and events

At Expo 2025 Osaka, Beyond Limits delivered 20 pavilions across construction, exhibits and operations: a path of excellence at its fourth consecutive BIE Expo, setting an unprecedented record. The goals included: turning concepts and narratives into tangible spaces aligned with each nation’s identity; ensuring construction quality, safety and compliance with Japan’s complex regulations; coordinating global logistics chains for imports and supplies; managing human resources, daily operations and event programs; enhancing visitor experience through trained staff and immersive journeys; and maintaining budgets and schedules in a highly complex context. In short, Beyond Limits’ aim was not only to build and operate pavilions, but to make each project a diplomatic, cultural and commercial tool, fully expressing the country represented and leaving a tangible legacy beyond the Expo, consolidating its reputation as a trusted partner in mastering complexity and delivering excellence worldwide.

Beyond Limits’ innovative idea at Expo 2025 Osaka was to position itself as a true One Stop Shop, able to provide, depending on the case, project management, construction or operations for 20 assignments from different countries. In this role, Beyond Limits turned complexity into clear and manageable processes: for the Italy Pavilion it ensured the construction of the building, acting as a bridge between Mario Cucinella Architects and Japanese partners, guaranteeing quality and compliance; for the Serbia Pavilion it delivered the spectacular living façade, balancing creativity and technical constraints; for the Saudi Pavilion it managed over 3,000 events in six months, integrating staff, logistics and content in one of the most ambitious programs ever staged at an Expo. Innovation lay in adapting international PM methodologies to the Japanese context, introducing immersive and sustainable solutions and proving that only an integrated approach can deliver excellence on a global scale.
