Interactive contemporary art exhibition. From Rome to Paris, a journey through lightness and wonder that engaged over 750,000 visitors, blending creativity, technology, and participation.
Euphoria – Art is in the Air was conceived to redefine the boundaries between contemporary art, culture, and collective experience. The goal was to elevate inflatable art into a legitimate artistic language capable of inspiring emotional connection, curiosity, and social interaction. Through a multi-sensory journey, the exhibition invited visitors to explore the transformative power of air, its lightness, energy, and vitality, while positioning the Balloon Museum as a global cultural phenomenon. The event aimed to attract diverse audiences, promote cultural participation, and strengthen Lux Entertainment’s mission to make contemporary art emotionally accessible, participatory, and universal.
The creative idea translated the intangible emotion of euphoria into physical, sensorial form. Air vital, invisible, and ever-changing—became both medium and metaphor. For the first time, leading international artists including Philippe Parreno, Paola Pivi, Carsten Höller, Marta Minujín, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, and A.A. Murakami were brought together to explore the concept through large-scale, interactive installations. Innovation lay in merging artistic research, digital technology, and audience participation into a seamless narrative of play and contemplation. Each work was designed as a living environment, activated by visitors’ movement and emotion, turning spectators into co-creators of the artwork itself.
