The Event

The Austrian Tourism Day 2024 was an interactive and immersive meeting. It addressed Austria’s tourism stakeholders to prepare for the challenges regarding the change in the future of tourism.

Austria is number 1 worldwide regarding tourists per capita. Therefore the country is very heavily affected by future changes in the area of tourism. The main objective of the Aistrian Tourism Day 2024 was to inspire key tourism professionals in Austria to embrace innovation in the tourism sector and overcome the challenge of resistance to change. The event aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and tools – specifically the “Megatrends Map”- to rethink their approaches to tourism, embrace new technologies, and prepare for a sustainable future. We wanted to achieve a mindset change among the participants but also to foster interaction between the key players of tourism in Austria.

Immersive, kinetic LED with 52 moving LED screens with 108 million pixels as a stage setup that transformed the entrance hall of the venue into 7 different settings in seconds. This space was, for the first time ever, used as the main stage for a symposium. The specially trained AI co-host as a central element: You could talk to her, she led through the event, was an expert on details, and analyzed participant answers. The AI was a custom GPT trained with specific data on future trends, technologies and challenges in Austrian tourism. A personalized, web-based interaction tool tailored the event journey based on interests, with personalized greetings, surveys, a game show quiz, photo interactions with the polySTAGE, personalized recommendations, etc. Also a full TV-game show format was developed with the audience participating in a quiz. Immersive stage format of a subway ride to explain the complex “Megatrands map” to the audience. Immersive 360° Sound Design & 100% sustainable event.
