The Event

One Bangkok’s spectacular inauguration for 5,000 VIPs fused Thai culture & technology, unveiling the “Heart of Bangkok” vision with a 4-act show, live-streamed to 100k+.

Situated over 17 hectares of prime real estate right in the heart of the city, One Bangkok is one of the largest private sector developments in Thailand, poised to become ‘The Heart of Bangkok’, and a centerpiece for the city’s future. After more than seven years of construction, One Bangkok was officially inaugurated on the 25th of October 2024, with an impressive opening ceremony with the objectives of:
-Celebrating Thai culture while embracing its modern identity
-Using the event to unveil the architectural and cultural significance of one Bangkok
-Delivering a completely unique, immersive experience
Success meant guests leaving not just impressed by a show, but believing in One Bangkok’s vision for the city’s future.

The creative concept was created around the idea of “One Day” in the “Heart of Bangkok” from dawn to midnight, this was symbolized by the circular logo of One Bangkok and the Thai word “wan” (meaning “day”). The whole show was divided into 4 acts, each one linked to a different part of the day and highlighting different features of One Bangkok.
The stage design featured a large platform connected to a central stage by a 50-meter long catwalk. Following One Bangkok’s art inspired concept, we created a custom installation representing One Bangkok landmark, like a symbolic gate to the future. The stage design included parenthesis-shaped structures on the sides of the central symbol, to mimic the effect of concentric liquid ripples spreading outwards from the central focal point, symbolizing the positive impact of One Bangkok to the city and Thailand. The central stage was designed to recreate the effect of a heartbeat, evoking the imagery of One Bangkok as the “Heart of Bangkok”.
