The Event

Global brand and press event in Amsterdam where Canon engaged 150 guests,
including 55 creators from 27 countries, through cinematic challenges and live storytelling.

Canon set out to rethink how a global product launch could look and feel. The ambition was to move beyond static presentations and traditional press formats, and instead create a moment that would truly connect with a new generation of image-makers.

The goal was to generate worldwide visibility for the new Cinema EOS line, while repositioning Canon as a brand at the forefront of motion and creativity. The event needed to inspire professionals and creators alike to experience Canon’s innovation firsthand, to build stronger ties with the brand, and to see it as an essential partner in their cinematic journey.

OVAL wanted to move beyond traditional press launches and reimagine how innovation could be experienced, not just announced. The goal was to create global visibility for the new Cinema EOS line while shifting perception from still photography to cinematic motion.
By merging cinematic spectacle with influencer-driven reporting, we aimed to reach a new generation of creators. People who learn, share, and shape opinions in real time. The event had to inspire, educate, and connect: turning product understanding into creative empowerment through direct experience, mentorship, and collaboration.
