Embodying the theme “Open always wins”, Samsung’s Rendezvous pavilion in Paris was a vibrant pop-up space for Olympic fans to celebrate technology and humanity through immersive Galaxy AI experiences.
The objective of Samsung’s Olympic Pavilion was to showcase its rich history of technology innovation and demonstrate the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) using Galaxy AI. The pavilion aimed to be a gathering place for Olympic fans to celebrate the past, present, and future of humanity mediated by technology.
To achieve this goal, we created a curated collection of immersive media and interactive experiences based on real-life scenarios, organized as a journey in space revealing different Galaxy AI features and how they can bring more ease and transform everyday lives. Every touch point had promoters who onboarded people to various Galaxy AI features embedded in Samsung devices, demonstrating how to activate and use them in demo scenarios.
Through this approach, Samsung aimed to evoke a feeling of ease in various activities for people from all walks of life, making AI experiences accessible for all and demonstrating a positive future that can unfold by AI.
The Paris Olympics pavilion’s creative concept aimed to create a monumental presence in Paris, embodying their Olympic motto “Open Always Wins”. This is achieved by creating an 80m-long, harmoniously composed blue transparent façade topped with a long LED screen celebrating Olympic sports. The façade transparency offers a glimpse into the light-filled space within, enticing visitors to explore and experience unique Galaxy AI features and Olympic activities.
To make AI relatable and understandable, the experiential design strategy centered on real-life scenario-based interactive experiences that communicate Galaxy AI features in an accessible and tangible way. By leveraging infotainment as a brand and product communication medium, the Galaxy AI product experience is transformed into a more humane, fun, and accessible journey for everyone, effectively showcasing the transformative potential of AI in daily life and creating a positive outlook towards the future enabled by Galaxy AI.
