Edu-Zones InPost Road to Green City is an innovative project that implements InPost’s ESG strategy in cooperation with partner cities, inspiring people to create green cities for the future.
InPost is Europe’s leading out of home delivery partner. Within brand’s ESG strategy it takes real actions for the environment, together with its partner cities – member of the InPost Green City Program. They were the ones who repeatedly drawn attention to the need to involve business in local pro-ecological education. That is why InPost have decided to start the “Road to Green City” program, which aim was to promote pro-ecological attitudes and activities and engage local communities in them. As this is the second edition, this year’s goal was to exceed last year’s numbers of 6600 participants. This year’s aim was also to design the entire educational space for the first time in a fully accessible way for people with disabilities, so to make these events exceptionally inclusive on the map of city events. This year’s theme was greenery in the city and biodiversity.
One of the pillars of the company’s ESG strategy is based on creativity and innovation, which “change the lifestyle for the future, change cities and counteract climate change”. This led InPost to search for the best possible response to the need for eco-education.
According to Thomas Kolster (Mr. Goodvertising, marketing & sustainability advisor) there are 4 levels of brands’ reactions to challengers: 1. stay silent, 2. say something, 3. do something, 4. engage others. Through Edu-Zones InPost decided to jump on the 4th level and engage customers and citizens in pro-ecological education.
In order to best meet the accessibility requirements, a number of external consultations were carried out. Integracja LAB Research and Development Center conducted consultations during the design of the zone, as well as an accessibility audit. The Culture Without Barriers Foundation supported the project in the preparation of audio description and transcription of the installation sounds.
