UK – TRO creates 1950s seaside stand for Vauxhall at Goodwood Revival
On 12-14th September agency TRO designed and built a 1950s seaside-themed set for Vauxhall’s stand in the Earl’s Court Motorshow feature at Goodwood Revival.
The stand created by TRO for the Earl’s Court Motorshow was a 1950s inspired seaside-themed set and it featured a real sand beach where visitors could have their picture taken buried in the sand, with their friends at a peep board, or just relaxing on the beach in deck chairs.
Candy floss was made and distributed on stand, and retro sweets were available from dispensers. Both a heritage Vauxhall plus current models ADAM Rocks and Cascada were on display.
The 1950s seaside holiday theme continued with a specially modified telescope showing an image of a French beach over the channel. Other props included seaside shop items, bespoke cartoon postcards and real window displays with 1950s swimwear and sweets.
Rob Murrell, junior project director at TRO, said: “The stand proved highly successful with many visitors getting into the spirit of Vauxhall’s 1950s theme and engaging with all the interactive features. There was a great buzz every day of the event and lots of photos were captured and shared.”
