UK – The Lego Christmas Express puffs into Covent Garden
Lego revealed its annual Christmas build: a giant red, green and yellow train made with over 500,000 bricks and designed by Duncan Titmarsh, who is the UK’s only Lego certified professional.
A gigantic Lego Christmas train has arrived in style into Covent Garden: the creation took eight people and about three months to build and it’s been made with made with 500,000 bricks.
There are three carriages, the engine and driver’s cabin, a carriage full of presents and another carriage for the Christmas tree. Smoke pours from the funnel, lights flash and a whistle blows.
This marks the fifth year that Lego has showcased a unique Christmas inspired creation in the capital. It launched the campaign with a 30-metre Lego Christmas tree in 2011, meanwhile other creations have included a giant advent calendar and a walk-through snow globe.
