UK – ‘Footpool’: Citroën’s latest sports hybrid
To promote its Airbump technology, Citroën built a huge ‘footpool’ table at Arsenal Football Club’s Emirates Stadium and let passers-by have a first-hand experience of the new feature.
In the game of Footpool – the latest, greatest experiential craze – players stand on a large-scale pool table and try to sink coloured footballs into the pockets. And now French car manufacturer Citroën is joining in the fun.
Citroën’s Airbump technology is featured on the Citroën C4 Cactus, providing a cushioned surface to protect the bodywork from bumps and scrapes. This is why Citroën brought Airbump to life for the public with an experiential campaign focused around footpool.
With the help of N2O Agency, the company built an oversized pool table, which incorporated Airbump technology to ensure maximum bounce on the surface, on the concourse of Arsenal Football Club’s Emirates Stadium in London and invited passers-by to take a break from the action on the field and enjoy a little footpool action of their own.
Some C4 Cactus cars were also located near the footpool table area by a branded tent accompanied by flags.
