The ‘Douro Energy Concert‘, with which the agency will take part at the next EuBEA – European Best Events Awards,  was intended as a way of marking the 35th anniversary of the EDP brand. They set up a floating stage on the treacherous waters of the River Douro as the venue for one of the
most magical concerts in the history of Portugal. Prepared by a team of 250 professionals and watched, live, by 100,000
people
, the event was also intended to be consistent with EDP’s social and environmental concerns.

Desafio Global designed the ‘Innovating Life Forum‘ in response to Samsung’s ambition to create its first Forum in
2011. As part of its global commitment to becoming one of the foremost sustainable companies by 2013, Samsung
wanted to mark the kick-off of its strategy with the launch and demonstration of new products, in a space which was
based on environmental concerns.
With this in mind, Desafio Global designed an organic tent, inspired on the cosmic world of life and on the conceptual
idea of the chromosome. Fusing imagination with reality, the tent was set up in an area of 2,650 m2, on the seafront
promenade in Algés. And so Europe’s largest inflatable event structure was created.

For the 2011 edition of the ‘International Forestry Conference‘, the Portucel Soporcel Group wanted a unique and
memorable event that would fit in with the theme ‘Planting the Forests of Tomorrow‘.
The challenge was to get the message across that the Group is responsible for the largest number of trees – eucalyptus,
pine and oak – planted in Portugal. Their strategy was to design a setting which recreated a forest. The entire room
was covered with a white canvas on which a video could be screened, transporting guests to some of the ‘forests of
tomorrow’. The video, background sounds and the scent of eucalyptus, together with a refreshing breeze and the real
pine and eucalyptus trees brought in for the occasion, turned the Ritz Ballroom into a virtual forest.
