NETHERLANDS – IDEA in search of showcases

IDEA has launched its latest tool. With this customer panel, the association enables its members to literally showcase many of their fantastic cases and their inspiring ideas.

ideaIt’s all very well talking about the power of live communication, but displaying that power is even better. It’s called walking the talk. This is something IDEA wholeheartedly believes in and has inspired the launch of its latest tool. With this tool, the association enables its members to literally showcase many of their fantastic cases and their inspiring ideas. The tool: customer panel. The showcase: website, press channels, social media and fairs.

As of April 2015, each month a panel of leading clients will select the most inspiring case. IDEA members nominate their own cases, with no holds barred. Whether they’re big, blockbusting winners or small, perfectly formed gems, corporate events and brand activations, anything goes. The only condition is that the nominations are current cases that IDEA members themselves consider to be their best work.

The first members of the customer panel represent both the B2B and the B2E and B2C segments: Karlijn Adriani (Charity Lottery), Jaap Stolwijk (Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance), Frederike van Urk (T-Mobile), Caroline van Wijngaarden (Toyota), Jolanda Bouwens (Land Registry) and Koen Brakenhof (Museum Mauritshuis). They evaluate the contenders and then put the winning case of the month on display in the showcase. Providing an inspiring story every month for marketing and event professionals.

“This year we’re showcasing the power of live communication. Because we want to show what IDEA agencies are worth, because that is what our members really deserve and because we want our clients to be even more aware of IDEA,” according to the association manager Maarten Schram. And it is no coincidence that this is the initial focus of IDEA’s newly appointed board member. Indeed in March 2015, Maarten Hogenhuis (image), executive producer at Xsaga joined the ranks of the IDEA board: “My mission is to ensure that clients consider it a requirement for an events agency to be an IDEA member.”
