ITALY – Inauguration of the Allianz Tower in Milan
For the first lighting of the tallest tower in Italy, which has already become one of Milan symbols, Filmmaster Events created an institutional event, attended by the highest offices of State and Milan municipality.
The Allianz new skyscraper, which was chosen by the company for their new Milanese headquarters, with its 207 meters tall and 50 floors will host more than 3.000 Allianz employees by 2017. For its first lighting, Filmmaster Events created an institutional event, attended by the highest offices of State and Milan municipality, for a total of 150 guests, including Minister Maria Elena Boschi, Milan deputy mayor Francesca Balzani and the deputy prefect. Alessio Vinci hosted the whole event.
Klaus Peter Roehler, Allianz Managing Director, welcomed the guests as they arrived to the tower to celebrate an ancient Ambrosian rite: laying a reproduction of the Madonnina (Milan’s Virgin) on the highest point of the city. After the institutional speeches and the blessing by most reverend Monsignor Carlo Faccendini, the Madonnina was placed on the top of the tower.
After that, the guests entered the tower for the first time to attend the concert by Filarmonica della Scala, in the Auditorium on the ground floor. The guests then reached the 45th floor, which had been especially transformed into an exclusive club with a spectacular scenography: Milan by night. A magic and unforgettable view enriched by light design and a “starry sky” LED of 7 meters showing constellations from Allianz branches all over the world.
Then the speech of Allianz AD opened the gala dinner, during which the time-lapse video of the building of the tower and the Madonnina laying were shown. The event ended with the gran finale: an emotional video of the tower lighting celebrating his value for the whole city and a visit to the terrace to enjoy the view.
The day after the Tower was still full of life: together with “Umana-Mente“, the Allianz association that takes care of people in need, it host an event dedicated to a selected number of Allianz employees. The event included a charity dinner for 150 guests and a charity auction of paintings and artworks.
