ITALY – Filmmaster Events partners with S.Pellegrino Young Chef for an International contest

Filmmaster Events was the coordinator of the event, organizing the artistic direction and the set-up. It was a highly awaited event for the whole fine dining industry: 20 young chefs and 20 young designers arrived to the final competition in Milan after a long selection process all over the world.  

filmmasterIt took more than 12 hours to choose the best young chef, young designer and the best chef/designer couple of 2015. The contest was divided into two parts, from the morning until the evening, and the format rhythm thrilled the audience for the 12 hours of the live event. At the end of the first part, the young chefs presented their creation to the technical committee who chose three finalists. There were ten kitchens for the young chefs and twenty stations for the designers.

At 7.30 a spectacular set design was ready to welcome the 320 selected guests. A 30 meters stage with a Led Wall, some animation about San Pellegrino, the images of the young competitors and a colourful mise en place created in collaboration with Vogue. Surrounded by this evocative atmosphere, the finalists and the grand jury performed a great fine dining show.

Pure entertainment was not absent from the schedule: Alessandro Cattelan hosted the night with his experience and sense of humour, together with the talented Street Clerks and their music which gave more emphasis to the event and its most important moments. Simone al Ani, the winner of Italia’s Got Talent, surprised the guests with his performance and his innate talent which is a mix between magic and mastery.

The night ended with the proclamation and celebration of the Best Young Chef, the English Mark Moriarty, the Best Couple, Maria José Jordan from Amaz restaurant in Lima and Paula and the Best Designer, the Chinese Xiao Li.
