INDIA – THE WAVES SUMMIT, MUMBAI – A RISING TIDE FOR EXPERIENTIAL AND CREATIVE FUTURES
Held in the heart of Mumbai in April 2025, The Waves Summit emerged as a bold new forum for envisioning the future of the experiential, creative, and intellectual
property-driven economies. As India continued to establish itself as a hub for global creativity and innovation, the Summit represented a coming together of powerful
voices from across the ecosystem—events, marketing, media, policy, culture, and entrepreneurship.
Conceived as a cross-disciplinary platform, The Waves Summit became a transformative space where boundaries between industries blurred to give rise to
fresh collaborations and radical ideas. With participation from over 500 visionaries including international experts, brand leaders, designers, artists, AI innovators, policy makers, and young changemakers, the Summit set the tone for a new dialogue around what the future of experiences could look like.
Thematic zones at the Summit included Immersive Technologies, Cultural Economy & Soft Power, Creative Capital & IP Monetization, Sustainable Event Practices, AI & Neuroaesthetics in Experience Design, and Storytelling for a New World Order.
Keynotes, labs, showcases, and panel dialogues focused not just on trends, but on crafting actionable blueprints for a future powered by creativity, culture, and
conscience.
EEMA played an important role in the earlier part of the curative brainstorming of the Summit’s core narrative, positioning India as more than just a service provider—it demonstrated how the country is a generator of original, scalable, globally resonant Ideas. The Waves created a roadmap for how India could nurture and export its creative economy through deliberate ecosystem building, skills development, and policy advocacy.
The Summit concluded with a landmark declaration calling for the inclusion of creative industries in national GDP accounting and a global push to recognise creativity as economic capital. In that moment, India didn’t just speak—it roared, rising like a tide on the global creative shore.
