GERMANY – Kontrapunkt creates Shell Kick-Off Event 2012

Kontrapunkt won the pitch for
this year’s Shell Partner Kick-Off Event account with a particularly
impressive concept. 1.400 Shell Germany partners gathered in the
Frankfurt Festhalle to start the year 2012 together with the motto ‘From
Passion Comes Success
‘. The conceptual design and planning as well
as the production and final execution of this big event lay in the hands
of Kontrapunkt.

The kick-off was divided into two parts: a day-time event and an
evening event including an award ceremony. The story-line and
stringent conceptual design of the event were highlighted throughout.
The theme ‘From Passion Comes Success‘ ran through all the different
elements like a thread – from the invitation through the day-time and
evening events.

“A love of detail. Precision. Enthusiasm. Expertise. These are all
features that characterise people with great passion and motivate them
to great accomplishments,” explains Harald Böttcher, managing director
of Kontrapunkt. “To transfer these characteristics onto one’s own
business – that is the message that Shell wanted to communicate to its
partners through this event that we created, and this was the backdrop
to the story that we developed for the event.”

The emotional pictures of the opening film, shown on a large screen,
told the story of a vintage car lover and a Shell petrol station team;
they both bring to their work the same great enthusiasm and a lot of
heart – and are extremely successful. In this way Kontrapunkt won the
appreciation of the audience for the subject matter of the event right
from the beginning. This story then continued into reality. Before the
eyes of astonished guests, the vintage car drove right out of the film
onto the red-and-yellow event stage.


Further program highlights in Kontrapunkt’s concept were the
interactive percussion performance
and numerous theatrical sessions
that created a high level of involvement for the participants. The stirring
finale was the impressive award ceremony within the evening event,
which Kontrapunkt gave the grand name ‘Night of the Masters‘.

Kontrapunkt and Shell know each other very well; the agency has
organised numerous partner events for the oil company in the past
years. Besides the conceptual design and planning, the organisation
of the whole event as well as participant and hotel management, was
entirely Kontrapunkt’s responsibility. The participant management was
