GERMANY – Eight Galaxy Awards for Hagen Invent
The awards simply rained down in New York for Düsseldorf-based event marketing
agency Hagen Invent: at this year’s Galaxy Awards, one of the biggest awards
ceremonies in the international marketing calendar, the experts for live communication
won one gold, four silver, an honours and two bronze awards. The
international panel of experts from the worlds of advertising and marketing awarded
prizes in five different categories for Hagen Invent’s best concepts and
implementations.
Hagen Invent won gold in the ‘Special Events: Corporate’ category, alongside
Schmidhuber and KMS Blackspace, for the Audi A3 dealer meeting in
Copenhagen in 2012. The spectacular event that marked the launch of the new Audi
A3 not only wowed the 3,500 guests from 80 different countries, but also the panel of
judges at the Galaxy Awards. The experts at Hagen Invent were also awarded
silver in the same category for the Sevilla Speed Days, when around 1,000 R8 dealers
and select customers from around the world came to southern Spain in November
2012 to test-drive the latest-generation Audi R8. The Sevilla Speed Days, which Hagen Invent implemented together with the Munich-based architects oettle ferber
associates and the design agency tisch13, also won silver in the category ‘Public
Relations: Event Marketing’.
The 2012 Toyota ‘Hybrid Summer’ campaign, planned and implemented as a cross-
media campaign by Hagen Invent alongside the Toyota lead agency KPP Event,
was awarded an amazing five gongs: headed by popular German celebrities such as
Jan-Josef Liefers, Axel Prahl and Thomas D, it won silver in both the ‘Special Event:
Product Awareness’ and ‘Public Relations: Awareness’ categories. There was also a
bronze each for ‘Special Event: Customer’ and ‘Promotion: New Product Introduction’,
and an honours award in ‘Public Relations: Event Marketing’. The exceptional
achievement of the project in the categories of Event, Promotion and Public Relations
reflects the successful 360-degree activation of the target group across all relevant
channels.
The Galaxy Awards are held by the New York organisation MerComm, Inc. which
has presented accolades for exceptional projects in all marketing disciplines since
1987, including live communication, ATL campaigns, design, promotion and public
relations.
