FRANCE – Havas Group supports WIC in its international expansion

While the recession once again demonstrates the importance of foreign investment in
Europe to stimulate growth and innovation, Havas Group seeks to provide its
expertise and international network for the benefit of the World Investment
Conferences
and to support its globalisation strategy. As part of this partnership with
Havas Group, global PR firm Euro RSCG C&O has been appointed to handle World
Investment Conferences (WICs) media relations, public relations and digital
communications for all of their future events for the next two years. The logistical
aspects of the organisation will also be managed by Havas Event, the Group’s
specialist for event-driven marketing.

The World Investment Conference Europe (WIC Europe), chaired by Clara Gaymard (image),
which this year will be held in La Baule, France, from June 20 to 22, has established
itself in just ten years as the leading international annual event for foreign investment
in Europe. Bringing together international political and economic leaders, WICs today
aims to expand its international presence to more countries on the theme of
investment to promote global economic growth. Scheduled for India October 7 to 9,
2012
in Jaipur Rajasthan (WIC India), future conferences are being planned for
Brazil, China and South Africa.

Stéphane Fouks, executive vice president of Havas and executive chairman of Euro
RSCG Worldwide, explains the logic: “Given that Euro RSCG C&O and Havas Group
firms provide support for France’s large companies in their strategic transformations
and business development, it is entirely natural for us to support them by promoting
international investment”.

Jean-Bernard Guerrée, President and CEO of World Investment Conferences, said:
“In view of the platform’s ambition and our current partners’ expectations, we were
very careful in choosing the ideal partner to support World Investment Conferences in
its next chapter. The leadership and operational teams at Havas really got it as far as
the potential, the vision and the implementation strategy. We’re delighted to have
them on board”.
