DNB’s annual summer party for 4000+ employees in Oslo. The goals are community building, retention and motivation. The last 2 years finding a more sustainable format for the event has been a priority.
The objective of this event was to find a way to combine an exciting celebration for DNBs employees with a sustainable approach. The challenge was to find a formula that will improve sustainability and reduce the carbon emissions related to the event, without diminishing its experiential value – which is fundamentally why DNB can pull all 4000+ colleagues together. Additionally, the aim was to find a principle for organizing events of this scale that could be repeated. Through one of DNB’s sponsorships, a solution was developed using the existing physical infrastructure used by a popular music festival.
The most impressive innovation and creative solution demonstrated by this case is the presence of mind and seizing of opportunity that came out of the combined production team of DNB and the event agency. It takes world class production skills to walk into a full festival rig and handle it as if it were your own, filling it with the client’s custom content and turning a famous festival concept into an experience that feels tailored and unique to your guests – which is exactly what the DNB Over Oslo team pulled off. And importantly, this feat was achieved in the service of increased sustainability.
Through one of DNB’s sponsorships, the solution was developed using the existing physical infrastructure used by a popular music festival. DNB employees experienced a festival that was both exclusive and homey. The entertainment featured Nordic artists reflecting the region’s diverse music scene. By focusing on local music and culture, DNB also supported Nordic artists and talent development.
