EuBea Festival: Luca Favetta President of the Jury of the 10th edition of EuBea Awards
The Senior Director Global Events and Programs at Hewlett-Packard International has accepted the prestigious role of EuBea’s Jury President and declares: “Events have finally gained a ‘seat at the table’ and are considered integral part of the overall marketing strategy to achieve business objectives”. The 10th edition of EuBea Awards will take place during the second edition of EuBea Festival in Seville from 5th to 7th November.
Preparations are well underway for the 10th edition of the EuBea Festival, the first European award -conceived and organized by ADC Group – to celebrate the best international events.
For this year’s special edition, EuBea Festival is pleased to announce that Luca Favetta, Senior Director Global Events and Programs at Hewlett-Packard International (image), after being juror for the past 3 years, will preside over the Jury panel.
The main objective of EuBea Awards is to introduce and encourage the qualitative development of the events’ industry in its most original, innovative and multidisciplinary expressions. Last year, 163 campaigns, from 82 agencies representing 25 different countries, were entered in the event.
While waiting to discover the big numbers expected for this edition, we had the chance to speak to Luca Favetta.
How do you welcome the role of chairing the Jury for the 10th edition of EuBea Awards?
I’m really thrilled and excited about the opportunity of chairing the Jury this year, especially because this is the 10th anniversary of the awards: such an important milestone!
What role does EuBea Awards prize have as a motivator in the development of the quality of events in Europe?
EuBEA is playing a key role in “educating” agencies and corporations toward improving the quality of events in Europe. The constant increase of event submissions over the years is proof that the Industry players are more and more focusing on this element and believing in it…..
What aspects of this award – Live show, interaction, networking – are more interesting?
I should not mention one aspect specifically. What I think makes EuBEA really successful is the overall format that is including all the above mentioned elements in a very well balanced mix.
How would you rate the European creativity overview from your observations?
I was pleased to see over the past few years that creativity is evolving, more and more aligned to business objectives, working in synergy toward achieving the business results of the events. Events have now finally gained a “seat at the table” and are considered integral part of the overall marketing strategy to achieve business objectives.
As President, what guidelines for judging the entered events will you provide to your colleagues?
What I feel it’s important when judging the entered events is to consider all the different elements and how they are orchestrated to reach the final objective, whatever this might be (motivation, awareness, demand generation, etc.). Unfortunately sometimes we still see a great creative concept that is not properly supported by a solid, clear and articulated event strategy. Apart from this, considering the seniority and the professionalism of my colleagues in the Jury panel, I don’t think I need to provide any further guideline or suggestion.
