EuBEA: ADC Group is pleased to announce the shortlist

During September, the 18 jurors involved in the EuBEAs voted on all the entries online toand decide those events that would make the final shortlist. During tomorrow’s face-to-face judging session at the Palazzo Affari ai Giureconsulti in Milan, the winners of  Golden Elephant (EuBEA), Silver Elephants (event type and technical excellence awards) and Golden Stars (Special Awards) will be decided.

According to the jurors’ first impressions the quality of the events entered in EuBEA is very high: it confirms that companies are increasing their use of events as a marketing tool, sometimes as replacement for other forms of communication methods.

Let’s go to the shortlist: in European Best Event Awards 28 events (see attached file) out of 69 made the shortlist (last year 40 out of 105). These events will compete for the the Awards by event type and for technical excellence.

A separate shortlist has been created for the Special Awards: Best Technological Innovation and Best use of Space/Environment/Setting, with three events each (see attached file).

The events entered in the EuBEA 2009 shortlist belong to the following categories:

Not all the categories had events with a voting score equal or superior to 7. For that reason  this year there will be no awards assigned in the following: Congress/Convention, Btob event, Incentive/ Team Building, Training Event, Cultural Event.

The Awards ceremony will be held during a gala dinner on November 26th at Atahotel Expo Fiera in Pero (Milan), within the BEA Expo Festival, a two-day kermesse (26th-27th November) born with the aim of bringing together the events industry at European level.
