DENMARK – MPI to implement Danish meetings design from A-Z at EMEC 2016

At MPIs European Meetings and Event Conference (EMEC) in Copenhagen on 7-9 February 2016, it won’t be business as usual. The EMEC 2016 will be designed according to the Danish Meetovation principles, now that MPI’s Event Team have become qualified ‘Meetovators’ themselves.

MPIIn late April 2015, MPI‘s international event team visited Copenhagen with two purposes: to familiarize themselves with the Danish capital and the venues for MPI’s annual European Meetings and Event Conference (EMEC) 2016, and to become certified Meetovators.

The event team used EMEC 2016 as their working case during the Meetovation training course and were thrilled with the process.

Meetovation is a Danish meeting design concept – developed by VisitDenmark in cooperation with Wonderful Copenhagen CVB, the Danish meetings industry and local experts – that focuses on return on investment by using several meeting design elements.

EMEC 2016 will be executed according to ‘Meetovation’, drawing on the five Meetovation elements ‘Local inspiration’, ‘Active involvement’, ‘Creative setup’, ‘Responsible thinking’, and ‘Return on Meeting Investment’.

The training took place at the conference venue for EMEC 2016, Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel and apart from MPI’s event team, both the President and President Elect of MPI Denmark chapter, Helle Svaneborg and Karin Krogh participated in the training in order to secure the professionalism of the cooperation leading up to EMEC 2016.
