AUSTRIA – New team for France/Benelux at Vienna Convention Bureau
With immediate effect, the acquisition of congresses, corporate conventions and incentives for Vienna in France and the Benelux countries will be the responsibility of Szilvia Csóka (in the image with her assistant, Stephanie Smejkal). As Marketing Manager for these countries at the Vienna Tourist Board’s Vienna Convention Bureau, this means she has now returned to the congress business again after a spell as campaign manager for the daily newspaper “Die Presse“. Prior to this she was in congress management for the Vienna-based International Society for Strategic Studies in Radiology, and before that with the European Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology, also in Vienna, where her responsibilities included organizing the annual congress.
Her assistant will be Stephanie Smejkal, who had various internships, including one in the field of sustainability in tourism after graduating in geography with an emphasis on tourism and leisure research. She will also be the new spokesperson for Green Meetings at the Vienna Convention Bureau.
The new staff members succeed Astrid Vuketich, CMP, who is moving to the congress-oriented software firm of Webges as Sales and Marketing Manager, and Karin Stattmann, who will be working as International Sales Manager for Austria Center Vienna in the future.
