100 events in competition for the sixth edition of the European Best Event Awards.

EuBEA Awards.jpgThe entries for the sixth edition of the European Best Event Awards have now closed. 100 events, divided in 18 categories, are  in competition. This year, the most popular typologies are again BtoB Event, Internal Company Event/Company Convention, Public Event and Product/Service Launch. Roadshow has also become one of the most selected categories, while the entries for the Incentive/Team Building events and the Event for Non-Profit/Social Organisation have dropped.

46 agencies, coming for 12 countries, have entered the competition. Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal have a high number of events and are followed closely by the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Sweden. Finally, this year again EuBEA adds a new nation to the list of participants: Latvia.

Salvatore Sagone.jpgAt this point, the next step will be the first online screening that will take place next week. The 27 members of the jury chosen and selected by Salvatore Sagone (picture beside), president of the ADC Group and creator of the award, will be asked to express their preferences on the events in competition. After this first vote, we will discover the names of the events that were shortlisted and which will compete for the coveted golden elephant.

The jury will then meet on Tuesday 4 October in Milan, at the AtaHotel Expo Fiera in order to announce the winner of the sixth edition. The date to remember is 23 November, the day when  the award ceremony will take place. Given last year’s success, the format implemented for the fifth edition will be used. The ceremony will happen as a training afternoon, in Milan, during which the winning agencies or companies will be able to explain their projects.
