USA – IMEX AMERICA 2026, AI AND INCLUSION AMONG EVENT EDUCATION TRENDS
Artificial intelligence, the search for more engaging experiences, and attention to human needs are among the key themes transforming the work of event professionals. Added to these are the demand for more interactive learning opportunities, high-quality networking, and greater personalization.
These are the primary topics featured in the IMEX America 2026 educational program, now available online ahead of the show taking place in Las Vegas from October 13 to 15. According to Amex GBT’s 2026 Global Meetings & Events Forecast, making events more engaging remains the sector’s top priority for the second consecutive year. The report also highlights that half of event planners currently use artificial intelligence in their work.
Among the sessions dedicated to AI is AI and I: Innovating with intelligent audience engagement, featuring Nick Fagan, Head of Innovation at DRPG, who will address audience engagement through technology. In the Tech Education Space, curated by Dahlia El Gazzar, founder of Dahlia+, discussions will focus on practical event tech applications. The relationship between digital tools, attention, and well-being will be the central theme of MPI keynote speaker Caitlin Krause’s presentation.
Another dedicated track, Design for Human Needs, focuses on accessibility, well-being, and inclusion. Sessions on neurodivergence will offer practical guidance on designing physical spaces, communication, and schedule management, while a session dedicated to movement will invite organizers to rethink the attendee journey throughout the event.
The program is completed by sessions on leadership, resilience, and professional development, alongside orientation and networking activities tailored for first-time attendees. Education is free of charge, with most sessions eligible for CMP and CSEP certification credits as well as ICCASkills accreditations. The partnership with Snapsight—Gevme’s tool providing session summaries and key takeaways online and via the event app—has also been confirmed.
