UK – Wonderland creates W&K cult away day
The annual Wieden+Kennedy founders day took place on 3rd and 4th April and started with 185 employees being collected from their East London offices in coaches and taken to the surprise location. Guests were then greeted by a guru upon arrival and were asked to change into boiler suits before embarking on a mass yoga session to fully immerse them into the W&K cult island.
A series of challenges and team building activities were also set so that participants could create their own mini-cults, including food tastings involving something called ‘chocolate surprise’ which was later revealed as chocolate-covered ants.
Each cult group was then encouraged to pose for a final photo, which was uploaded to Twitter for a competition called ‘strike a cult pose’. The winning cult was treated to a performance by horned fire performers before everyone was taken to a shack party, which involved a forest photo set and fancy dress experience.
A hog roast and surprise midnight snacks were served to attendees on the night, and hangover packs were provided the following day, which included mini cans of drinks, sick bags, chewing gum and crisps.
Wonderland Events was in charge of the organization of the whole event.
