UK – San Miguel’s Rich List experiential event
What does it mean to be life-rich? For more and more people, it’s a case of prioritising experiences over money and material possessions. This shift in attitude is the catalyst for the creation of the first ever San Miguel Rich List, comprising 19 inspiring trailblazers living life on their own terms.
On Wednesday 23rd November, people attended the launch event for the 2016 San Miguel Rich List at London’s Somerset House. Over drinks and canapés they learned more about the individuals who made this year’s list via a stunning photographic display.
They also got to know people who chose to change their lives and defy convention, such as Simin Nadjafi Hinrichs, who retrained as a horse whisperer in south-west Spain and Tinja Myllykanagas, who gave up university to fulfil her dream of raising sled dogs in Finnish Lapland.
Three immersive experiences were also on offer as part of the evening. Attendees got the chance to get an understanding of cave photographer Robbie Shone’s world via a thought-provoking digital installation, learn what inspires Göran Ehlmé to dive in the Arctic and Antarctica to take pictures of rare and extraordinary sea life as part of a special photographic exhibition and take part in a workshop to create your own miniature garden, inspired by “pothole gardener” Steve Wheen.
