UK – Eventia and IVCA announce Collaboration Initiative
As part of this initiative two opportunities are being announced today – one being that Eventia members will be invited to take part in an IVCA/UKTI Trade Mission to China, the other being that IVCA members will be invited to attend The Summer Eventia and be involved in the programme.
Commenting on the initiative Mark Saxby, Eventia Chairman said, “Eventia is the foremost association representing the live events industry and IVCA is the leading organisation representing the video and live communications industry. There is on-going pressure to demonstrate the effectiveness of events and a growing recognition of the importance of content – this is a key area where IVCA and their members come in. It makes real sense for us to explore opportunities to work together.”
Marco Forgione, Chief Executive of the IVCA said, “We are delighted to be collaborating with Eventia in this way. As the communication landscape continues to change and develop collaborations such as this will help both Eventia and IVCA deliver better value and influence for our members. IVCA is helping lead the UK Government’s creative industries international development and are confident that the forthcoming mission in China will be of real value to the UK’s live events, experiential marketing and corporate communication agencies.”
Saxby concluded by saying, “During our conversations with IVCA we have identified a number of other areas where we can collaborate to deliver enhanced benefits to our respective members. This is something we will be discussing together over the next few months.”
