UK – Confex visitor numbers down 11%
“By placing a strict limit on the number of students able to attend the show, this has affected the numbers, but for us and our exhibitors, it is more important to deliver the quality and facilitate business” said Confex Group portfolio director Jonny Sullens.
Sullens said he hoped to grow the show next year, with the move to Excel London. “With our move to Excel next year, we have a platform with which to enhance and take the show to the next dimension. Its location will help us tap into new audiences such as corporates located at Canary Wharf and facilitate the growth of our hosted buyer scheme through the links with London City Airport”.Sullens added that the show also had 150 hosted buyers which took part in 860 meetings with exhibitors on the show floor and included attendees from companies such as Cisco, Pfizer, Lloyds Banking Group, AstraZeneca, HSBC, Xerox, Sony, Jack Morton Worldwide and HelmsBriscoe.
