THE NETHERLANDS – THE NOMINEES FOR THE 26TH EDITION OF THE GOUDEN GIRAFFE AWARDS
The nominations for the 26th edition of the Golden Giraffe Awards have been announced. The jury evaluated eighteen live communication projects deemed worthy of an award across seven categories. The winners will be announced during the awards ceremony on April 13 at the World Forum in The Hague.
Multiple nominations
Several entries received nominations in multiple categories: Canon #UNFREEZE by OVAL, Diner en Blanc Netherlands, Bol Festival Store & Het Magazijn by Playground, and Defence Basecamp by Obsession. RAI Amsterdam secured nominations with three different projects: in the Conversion category (Horecava invitation process) and Sustainability (Love Your Liver campaign and RAI donation rooms).
Broader and more diverse
Following the acquisition of the Golden Giraffe Awards last year, Publique—platform for live communication—developed a new award structure recognizing excellence in live communication, supported by industry and professional organizations such as IDEA, CLC-VECTA, Koninklijke Horeca Nederland, MPI Netherlands, and the Genootschap voor Eventmanagers.
This meant that companies from all parts of the event value chain could submit entries, resulting in a broader diversity of projects qualifying for the Golden Giraffe Award. This expansion is clearly reflected in the nominated cases.
Jury evaluation
The jury consisted of Bartho Boer (KPN), Danny Rats (Studio Rats), Erik-Jan Ginjaar, Gijsbregt Vijn (Lemon Scented Tea), Heidi Molijn (Schuberg Philis), Marcel Maijer (Nederlandse Loterij), Mischa Schreuder (Fitzroy), Mitra van Raalten (SAIL Amsterdam), and Susanne Stolte, chaired by Peter van der Veer.
Following an individual evaluation of the 78 submitted cases, the final decision was made on Tuesday, March 17, at the World Forum in The Hague during a collective jury deliberation, in the presence of an independent supervisory committee. During the evaluation of categories in which SAIL 2025 was involved, Mitra van Raalten and Bartho Boer were excluded due to a potential conflict of interest.
