THE NETHERLANDS – PREMIERE CRUIJFF AT THE JOHAN CRUIJFF ARENA A GREAT SUCCESS: OVER 35,000 VISITORS AND €3.6 MILLION IN PR VALUE

The premiere of the documentary CRUIJFF at the Johan Cruijff Arena attracted more than 35,000 visitors on Saturday evening, making it one of the largest film-related premieres ever held in the Netherlands. The impressive turnout, combined with a PR value of €3.6 million, confirms that the legacy of Johan Cruijff is still very much alive and continues to inspire a wide audience.

The premiere was an initiative by SportVibes, in collaboration with producer Lusus and Double Tap. At the Arena, sport, culture, and entertainment came together in a grand tribute to the life and legacy of Johan Cruijff.

Massive attendance and media spectacle
The event generated significant interest: more than ninety journalists and numerous football personalities were present, while Radio 538 broadcast live from the venue. The presence of the Cruijff family added an extra personal and emotional dimension to the evening.

Initial reactions in both national and international media have praised the premiere for its scale, production quality, and the way Cruijff’s story was brought to life. Several outlets described the event as a unique, immersive experience where sport and storytelling seamlessly come together.

SportVibes as the driving force
As the organizing party, SportVibes was responsible for the full realization and positioning of the event, including PR and media strategy, marketing and communication (in collaboration with Double Tap), event production, branding, and entertainment.

“The combination of reach, experience, and media impact makes this a truly special project,” said Rick de Jong of SportVibes. “With this premiere, we created a tribute that does justice to the phenomenon of Johan Cruijff and allows people to experience, in a unique way, how he thought and saw the game.”
