SPAIN – SEVILLE, A DESTINATION FOR EVENTS WHERE HERITAGE MEETS EFFICIENCY
Conferences, trade fairs, and incentive trips find in the Andalusian capital a high-value offer
Seville is establishing itself as one of the top destinations for MICE tourism, thanks to a combination of factors ranging from its rich historical and cultural heritage to its modern infrastructure — including large convention centers, high-capacity hotels, and efficient transport connections. All this is enhanced by a privileged climate, a growing hospitality offer, and a solid network of professionals specialized in event organization.
The city provides a strong environment for the development of congresses, incentives, and conventions, supported by a mix of traditional and contemporary venues. Highlights include the Conference and Exhibition Center (FIBES), which can host up to 3,200 people, and the Cartuja CITE Center, featuring a 2,000-seat auditorium, along with a network of six hotels equipped to accommodate up to 1,200 participants in their meeting rooms.
The Andalusian capital offers more than 35,000 beds in 4- and 5-star hotels, complemented by an extensive renovation of the hospitality sector, with several recent openings and the integration of haciendas and cortijos as highly appealing alternative venues. Spaces such as Exploraterra, Factoría Cruzcampo, and Hacienda Guzmán further expand the range of options for unique events.
Connectivity is another major strength of the destination. Seville is served by a high-speed rail network, an expanding international airport, motorways and expressways, and a modern river port that allows the arrival of cruise ships. All these elements make access easy from multiple locations and strengthen Seville’s competitive positioning.
Institutional support is coordinated through the Seville Congress and Convention Bureau, a public-private entity that assists companies and associations with personalized consultancy, resources, and technical coordination to ensure the success of any event.
