SPAIN – MPI IBERIAN CHAPTER PRESENTS ITS NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS LED BY ÓSCAR LORENZO

MPI Iberian Chapter presented its new Board of Directors this Monday during the General Assembly of Members. The board will be led by Óscar de Lorenzo, who has assumed the presidency for the 2026 term. “Connecting the world through memorable events” will be the guiding principle for the Board’s actions throughout the year, focusing on four key areas: education, sponsorship, membership and communication. During the assembly, the achievements of 2025 were reviewed, centered on talent, innovation and sustainability under the presidency of Juan Martínez Parra.

The new roadmap focuses on four impact areas:

Education, led by Felipe García Rey, prioritizes listening to understand each member’s needs and offering practical, high-quality content that optimizes their time, strengthening a cohesive community and a true professional “tribe” beyond simple events.

Sponsorships, led by Bárbara Agudo, aims to secure greater resources to ensure operational continuity and quality, with year-round activation combining education, advisory support and networking. It will also create direct opportunities for members to connect with decision-makers and access MPI Europe/Global, under a measurable model evaluating the impact of each partnership and focused on delivering sustained value to the MICE ecosystem.

The priority of the Membership area, led by Víctor Iglesias, is immersion and strategic networking to strengthen relationships between organizers and suppliers, together with Site Inspection routes to evaluate innovative venues and a strategic gastronomic axis as a driver of innovation and connection within the industry. The area also seeks to recognize and give visibility to community talent to enhance members’ professional brands.

In Communication, led by Pablo Bravo, the goal is an H2H (human-to-human) narrative combining emotion and rigor, a dynamic communication approach that transforms the event into a social network and a connection engine, and evidence-based leadership positioning MPI Iberian Chapter as a thought leader, supporting its actions with real results that demonstrate the value of the community.
