SPAIN – Jack Daniel’s Music Day by Implementia Group
On Saturday April 9th early in the morning, it was officially announced that the tickets for the first ever Jack Daniel’s Music Day had Sold Out. There was no open ticket office and the hostess’ remained with the desire to distribute flyers. In Barcelona’s Olympic Stadium Terrace everything was almost ready for the show to start, only an European rugby match came between the musicians, the stage, and the opening of doors. The first edition of Jack Daniel’s Music Day had a privileged line-up: We Are Scientists Nada Surf, I Am Kloot, Sr.Chinarro, Cold Cave, Arizona Baby, Frankie Rose & The Outs, Odio Paris, Franc3s and Nadiuska, the winners of VI Jack Daniel’s Backstage demo contest.In addition to the DJs: DJ Juli (Love of Lesbian), Jota (from los Planetas), Pin & Pon, Capo and Nacho Ruiz. The festival succeeded all expectations and 4,000 people attended the Olympic Stadium Terrace.
The most anticipated performances of the night were We Are Scientists and NadaSurf. The first offered a spectacular concert that rocked the 4,000 attendees at the Jack Daniel’s Music Day. Nada Surf surprised the audience with hits and songs from their new album. In turn, Sr. Chinarro presented his album “Presidente”, one of the most anticipated of the night. The British band, I Am Kloot, presented spectacular class on stage and the audience jumped along to their songs. Cold Cave were in charge of closing the concert on the main stage, whose rhythm gave way to the incredible sessions of Juli (Love of Lesbian) and Jota (Los Planetas).
During the 9 hours of the summer night festival, indie music never stopped , in between concerts the audience enjoyed the music of Pin & Pon djs on the main stage and DJ Capo and Nacho Ruiz on the side stage. Other bands which performed on this stage were Franc3s, Odio Paris, Frankie Rose & The Outs and Arizona Baby, who’ surprised the audience with their direct energy. Nadiuska , winners of the Jack Daniel’s Backstage, also performed live and were recognized by Jack Daniel’s. Virginia Diaz, who hosts the program “180 Degrees” on Radio 3, was the host of the festival, she presented the various activities and sessions as well as accompanying the flair of Vivi, Jack Daniel’s extraordinary acrobatic Bar lady on the main stage through out the night. In addition, all attendees enjoyed a very good barbecue, accompanied by special Jack Daniel’s sauces, the style of Tennessee. VIPs enjoyed a comfortable chillout area and exclusive catering by Bubó. Another attraction of the night were the spectacular and delicious Jack Daniel’s cocktails, which surprised you more than once.
