SPAIN – Acciona reunited Christmas and Opera in three Sevillan landmarks
The Spanish agency offered Seville a very special Christmas. The experts organized three shows with innovative audiovisual installations inspired by the world of opera in three emblematic public spaces in the city: the Palace of San Telmo, the Alameda de Hercules and Metropol Parasol.
Acciona Producciones y Diseño, within the program of Christmas activities of the City of Seville, held from 19th December to 5th January the “Latidos De Luz” project, consisting of three interactive audiovisual performances that took place on the facade of the Palacio de San Telmo, at Metropol Parasol – better known as “Las Setas” – and at the Alameda de Hercules.
The project’s objective was to make the arteries of the historic center of Seville more dynamic with three shows as a tourist and cultural route through the city and whose plot revolved around the theme of the opera, coinciding with the bicentenary of The Barber of Seville and the 25th anniversary of the Maestranza Theatre and the Royal Symphony Orchestra. The event “Latidos De Luz” presented new audiovisual, lighting, scenic and interactive resources designed to be enjoyed by all audiences.
Among the novelties that APD held this year for the city of Seville, is the design of an interactive, free and available to any mobile App, which brought together the complete cultural program of all the interventions and shows of the Seville Christmas.
