POLAND – ‘I Like Poland’ project in 12 Asian cities

Poland Convention Bureau of the Polish Tourist Organisation has launched a promotional campaign under the “I Like Poland” project on Asian markets. A first presentation conducted jointly for the tourist branch and organisers of meetings and events took place in Delhi, Calcutta and Mumbai on 22-26 August 2013. The Poland Convention Bureau, together with companies representing branch associations: Grupa Trip, Holiday Travel, ICP Group and Mazurkas Travel, presented the Polish meetings industry.

The Regional and Local Tourist Organisations were represented by Furnel Travel International, Melody Tours, Poland Tour, Local Tourist Organisation of Plock and Dwór Sieraków. Additionally the meeting was attended by the representatives of the Polish Embassy in Delhi and Consulate in Mumbai. 200 people from the Indian tourist sector, meetings industry and journalists participated in 3 presentations.

Another cycle of presentations was scheduled for 3-5 September 2013 in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. It was planned for a total of ca. 200 representatives of the Chinese tourist sector and meetings industry. The industry associations were represented by ICP Group and Mazurkas Travel and moreover Holiday Travel, New World, CT Poland and a representative of the LOT Polish Airlines.

On 10 September another – the last one in 2013 – Roadshow starts in Japan. Poland will be presented in Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo to ca. 100 guests invited for the event. The presentations will be attended by Maestro Meetings&Incentives, Teja Tur and Holiday Travel, and from the Regional and Local Tourist Organisations – Furnel Travel International, Poland Tour, Local Tourist Organisation of Plock, Profi-Tour and Melody Tours.

The form of the presentations provides also for a presentation of the PCB of the Polish Tourist Organisation and its partners, as well as the time devoted to workshops and individual business talks. The agenda of each presentation covers a contest about Poland; the prizes include not only gifts, but also weekend stays in Poland funded by Polish partners.

The presentations are organised by the Polish Tourist Information Centre in Japan and Home Offices selected under a tender. The “I Like Poland” project is co-financed from the EU funds under Measure 6.3 of the OPIE 2007-2013.
